The technique relies on the use of electrical stimulation of a particular device, called stimulator, which generates stimuli for determining physiological contractions. This technique is performed through electrodes that can be attached to one or maximum two muscles.
The low frequency pulses caused by electrostimulation products cause a muscle contraction similar to that voluntary.
You can use electrical stimulation in the following cases:
- To strengthen or maintain muscle tone, particularly following an accident
- To regain muscle tone after surgery
- To give back to the muscles more strength and endurance
- To eliminate localized fat reserves
